![]() Well, perhaps it's not really an apocalypse. But all the same… Last Wednesday was my AP exam : US History. And I think it went decently well. So, fingers crossed. Having marked that test off my list (see below), I went home to realize that so much more was lying in wait for me before I could take too much time off. But while I'm on a bit of a hiatus (I promised myself a week off from studying), I get to look at the plan I have for this summer. And in just about a month I'll be headed back to Chevy Chase, MD for the PDO (another fancy acronym, this time meaning pre-departure orientation). And then about one and a half months after that (I think), I'll be on a flight to Oman. It's crazy. Sidebar: I've decided that every post I put up from now on will have a song title and singer at the bottom. I will try to pick these songs to accurately express my emotions. So look for it at the bottom - it's my new sign-off. But I digress. At any rate, lots to think about right now. I've begun the packing process with the purchase of several long sleeve tunic-type shirts that seem like they'll be very breathable, which is good considering that the lowest temperature I've seen on my Oman weather page lately is in the 80s. Regarding my fellow travelers, I've started a project where I'm making matching bracelets for the 6 of us going this summer. The picture is the beginning of the first one. And that's what's been going on here. So much to do and prepare, but it's all going to be worth it in the end. Karla's List Of Tests: 1. AP US History => done! (May 14) 2. US History & Chemistry SAT2 (June 7) 3. ACT (June 14) 🎶 Africa - Toto 🎶
